The convention was for the purpose of teaching and hearing testimonies of those who had left the Watchtower organization and found Christ, many of them after twenty or thirty years of involvement. - I have been writing since I was in high school and loving it. In 1979, after the death of a friend who was studying with Jehovah's Witnesses, I founded Narrow Way Ministries. I went on the air for two years (live) on WLIX Radio, went off as radio is not cheap, then went back on the air from 1985 to 1988 and was on for four years, five nights a week for thirty minutes each night. I did interviews, I taught about the false teachings of the cults, and I did shows on the Jonestown Massacre. I also interviewed parents who lost children to a cult. Most importantly, programs about Christian beliefs so Christians know what they believe and why were important to me. Getting sick with Epstein Barr Virus affected my abilities, and the expense of radio fell on me and my family, so I went off the air in 1988. Despite not being active in ministry as I once was, I still offer the books, booklets, fliers I've written over the past 40 or more years. - My parents moved to Long Island when I was just two years old. We moved to Uniondale, New York and lived down the block from St. Martha's Catholic Church where I received my Holy Communion and Confirmation. I thank God for my Catholic upbringing where I was taught about the Holy Trinity and the resurrection. I had a wonderful, godly grandmother who would visit us from Brooklyn, sing happy songs about Jesus (It's Bubbling was my favorite!), and read me and my sister Bible verses. My thought was when I got "old" like grandma, I would serve Jesus just like her! My brother was born with Cerebral Palsy, and he was so damaged by loss of oxygen at birth that he could not talk, walk, or feed himself. On December 11th, 1966, my mother took my brother and me to the Oral Roberts Abundant Life Crusade at the Hempstead Arena on Long Island. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior that day, and I'm so happy I did! I began reading my Bible and sharing the Gospel of Christ, and my life was forever changed.
